Vatican witnessed a huge congregation of Monarchs, Heir to the Monarchs. Heads of state, vice heads of state, prime ministers, ministers and high-profile dignitaries attended the celebrations.

Dipu Moni will also hand over to the new Pope a massage of felicitation from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

After the celebration, the Foreign Minister is also expected to meet the expatriate Bangladeshis and exchange views with them. The Foreign Minister is visiting Italy as the head of a Bangladesh delegation to the Celebratory Mass of the new Pope.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio, an Argentine cardinal, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, was elected the new Pope on March 13 following the resignation of Benedict XVI with effect from February 28, 2013.

He was the first Pope to resign since Gregory XII in 1415, and the first to do so on his own initiative since Celestine V in 1294.

  1. I had always wondered about her religious faith, if any ………. Really doesn’t matter, does it ?

  2. It has nothing to do with her faith. She is collecting frequent flier miles. She does not have time to sleep with her husband.

  3. What kind of a name is Dipu Moni? Is that a man or a woman? Why isn’t there another name in a parenthesis, like most Bangalis? For example, one could have a 6 part real name, but still another name within a parenthesis (e.g., A.K.M. Humayan Kabir Chwdhury (Lotan) ).
