At least five vehicles were vandalised, and ten others were torched in Dhaka and Chittagong Tuesday afternoon hours into a tribunal awarded death penalty to BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury for committing war crimes.

Driver of a covered van, whose vehicle was set on fire at Kazi Salauddin Road, admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with burn injuries in his limbs and lower abdomen.

The International Crime Tribunal-1 on Tuesday handed down capital punishment to Chowdhury, BNP standing committee member, for committing crimes against humanity during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.

  1. It could only be the tip of the iceberg of more protest that lies ahead. The protest could spread to other parts of the country simultaneously because most people 78% see the verdict of the politically motivated Kangaroo court as illegal, not just, not impartial not transparent not in accordance with ICC laws, norms, standard AND PROCEDURE.
THIS SO CALLED WAR CRIMRES TRIBUNAL WAS DESIGNED TO SETTLE POLITICAL OLD SCORE USING THE CORRUPT, HIGHLY POLITICIZEWD JUDICIARY AS TOOL.. THIS COULD SET A BAD PRECEDENT THAT WOULD NOT BE GOIOD FOR THE COUNTRY.
THE POLITICAL NATURE, CHARACTER, MOTIVE OF THIS TAVESTY BY THE NAME OF JUSTICE HAS BEEN EXPOSED BY THE UNMASKING OF THE CRIMINAL, CONSPIRATORIAL SKYPEGATE SCANDAL.
