Daily flights to Kathmandu

Its Assistant General Manager AGM (Marketing) Kamrul Islam said a MD-83 aircraft will be used for the flight.

“A two-way ticket will cost Tk 16,888 and one way Tk 7,589.”

This is for the first time an airline will operate daily flights on this route.

The flight will leave for Kathmandu at 4pm and depart for Dhaka at 5:50pm (local Nepal time), United’s AGM said.

United Airways currently operates flights to Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Kolkata from Dhaka. It also flies to Muscat and Kolkata from Chittagong.

It has flights to Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore, Cox’s Bazar, Saidpur, Rajshahi and Barisal from Dhaka.

Of its nine planes, one is of the Dash-8 model, two ATR-72, four MD-83 and two Airbus-310.

The airline first started its Kathmandu flights on Jan 4, 2010.
