COVID-19: 4 more die in Bangladesh, 139 test positive in 24hrs, says IEDCR

Bangladesh on Sunday recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in one day as 139 more people tested positive for the virus, raising the total number to 621.

Besides, four more people died from the disease in the last 24 hours which has raised the total death toll to 34, IEDCR director Meerjady Sabrina Flora revealed the numbers as part of the daily bulletin broadcast from Mohakhali, UNB reports.

“A total of 139 patients were detected with the coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours…we’ve lost four more people during the same period,” she said.

Among the four deceased, two were aged between 30 to 40, one above 60 and another above 70. “Around 50 percent of total patients detected are from Dhaka,” she added.

Three more patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours 1340 samples were tested across the country.
