Country to slip into darkness with BNP’s return: PM

 Hasina

Describing BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami as the parties of looters and terrorists, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said the country will again slip into darkness if such looters and terrorists return to power.

“We’ve started our journey towards light, but BNP-Jamaat alliance is trying to drag the country towards darkness,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina, also the President of the ruling Awami League, said this in her introductory speech at a meeting with the party’s grassroots leaders of Jessore, Tangail, Kishoreganj, Naogaon, Kurigram and Laxmipur at her official residence Ganobhaban.

The Awami League chief started holding meetings with the party field-level leaders to seek opinions about those who want to contest the next parliamentary polls with its tickets.

Presidents and general secretaries of district, thana, upazila and grade-I municipality units from the six districts joined the meeting.

Hasina said her government this time has started the trial of the war criminals and she sought votes from the countrymen in the next general election to complete the trial.

“You please cast your votes for Aawmi League for another term to establish Bangladesh as the developed and prosperous country,” she said asking the party grassroots leaders to carry out campaign in their respective areas.

Hasina said Awami League grassroots leaders always took the right decisions in all crisis moments.

“During the caretaker government when the idea of the so-called minus-two formula and reforms was spread across the country at that time, the grassroots leaders had taken a bold stance forcing the interim regime to hold the election,” she said.

In this connection, the premier said when senior leaders had failed to take the right decision at that time the grassroots ones rose to the occasion with their judicious decision. “The same had happened in AL’s historic 6-point demand and all the movements that followed,’ she said.

Talking about the long procedure of the 15th amendment, Hasina said a committee was formed on July 22, 2010 to amend the constitution and parliament amended the constitution on June 30, 2011.

“Those who frequently say that the amendment was done in a hurry, they’re very much wrong as the committee had been constituted in consultation with all the stakeholders,” she told her party leaders.

With the 15th amendment, democracy in the country has been strengthened, Hasina said adding, “We don’t want to see any unconstitutional and undemocratic government again running the state.”

Sheikh Hasina said that votes are the rights of people and they will vote whoever they like.

In this connection, the Awami League chief said in the recent elections to five city corporations, the government backed ‘honest’ candidates but they could not win. “We’ve nothing to say if people cast their votes ignoring the honest candidates.”

Hasina mentioned that the opposition is out to confuse people and asked the party leaders to make the voters aware against the opposition’s false propaganda. “I’ll request people not to get confused with the propaganda of the opposition,” she said.

Recalling the corruption and terrorism of the BNP-Jamaat alliance government, the Prime Minister said that the alliance government had taken the country to the verge of destruction.

“They always try to create an anarchic situation for destroying peace and happiness of the country’s people,” she said.

  1. One nameless person ( lets say poltu) commented “You the razakar knew how your fellow Razakar (Moulana Abul kalam Azad, the most prominent linguistic Islamic scholar and a spellbound gifted orator) crossed the border to India”( to escape assassination by the Apostates blogger, RAB & the Chatra League Thugs):

But RAB source told us, he paid taka 10 lakh to Hasina sycophants police via one powerful Awami Leader. Look after your own house first. Remember when Mujib was killed by his MUKTI -JUDDA ARMY JOWANS ) not a single person came out to protest. Similarly when Hasina goes out not a single sycophant would mourn her departure. Cannot you see the big hole under the hull of the rapidly sinking boat? Coward and crafty Communist & opportunist apostates are already jumping out of the boat. It is time you too do the same to save yourself from the biggest shipwreck in the history of Bangladesh.
Sunshine boy, have not you got a name pure Bengali name like, tonku, ponku, Ghatu, Poltu, Boltu, Tutu, Shontu, Montu?

  2. In fact who does not know that the snake fully straightens only after death? Our sneaky leaders will also straighten up only after death. So don’t worry, maybe the time is fast approaching. Who knows? The Holy Qur’an says, ‘Allah loveth not the insolent.’ And Satan was expelled from paradise only for being insolent. So let’s wait for the judgement of the Almighty since we have proved ourselves castrated, jaded horses.
