CJ urges judges to uphold reputation of judiciary

Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain

Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain on Wednesday called upon the judges to be cautious about the reputation of judiciary and to discharge their duties accordingly.

“Some deviations in this regard are noted in recent time which is not desirable at all,” the chief justice said while addressing a view exchange meeting organised by Supreme Court in its auditorium in the capital.

Wherever posted, a judicial officer should always remember that he or she belongs to the judicial department of the country and should take extra care to uphold the reputation of the department, he added.

About 170 judges and judicial officials of the country were present at the meeting.

Supreme Court Registrar AKM Shamsul Islam moderated the programme.
