Robert Gibson, British High Commissioner in Dhaka, has been holding a meeting with the BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Gibson went to BNP Chairperson’s residence around 7:30pm on Wednesday, Khaleda’s meedia wing official Shyrul Kabir Khan told the Dhaka Tribune.
The meeting schedule was fixed on Tuesday, he said. However, the media wing officer did not disclose the meeting agenda.
Shyrul said: “Media will be informed about the details after the meeting.”
Earlier on December 30, the British envoy held another meeting with Khaleda. BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has remained “confined” inside her Gulshan residence since December 29, a day before her party’s “March for Democracy” programme.
The authorities said the measures preventing her from leaving her house have been taken for security reasons.
