BNP hits back at Hasina for calling Khaleda traitor

Taking a swipe at the Prime Minister for calling its chairperson Khaleda Zia a traitor, BNP on Sunday claimed Sheikh Hasina has again exposed her bad taste and arrogance through her address at Habiganj rally.

“The Prime Minister’s entire speech at Habiganj public rally was nothing but delirium. She addressed it in an aggressive attitude. We think she has exposed her bad taste, irresponsibility and arrogance through her speech,” said BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

He brought the allegations at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.

The BNP leader alleged that the Prime Minister branding Khaleda as a traitor has betrayed with the blood of martyred freedom fighters. “She’ll have to be accountable to people for this one day.”

Rizvi further claimed that Sheikh Hasina cannot understand people’s pulse as she had passed examinations adopting unfairness.

The government has stigmatised the education system through politicisation, he said adding that Awami League conspires to destroy the education sector whenever it comes to power.

The BNP joint secretary general alleged that the Prime Minister has now become ferocious and desperate in fear of losing power.

“Sheikh Hasina feels 104-105 degrees of fever whenever she comes to know about Khaleda Zia’s rally. That’s why she carried out violent attacks by police on the opposition men at different parts of Comilla before and after the BNP chairperson’s Saturday’s public meeting there,” he said.

Rizvi also voiced concern over the leakage of question papers of primary terminal examinations.

He also demanded Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid’s resignation for his assertion to make Facebook inaccessible during public exams to check question paper leaks.
