The BNP has got permission from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police to hold a rally at the city’s Suhrawardy Udyan tomorrow.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed yesterday at a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office said that they got the permission on Thursday for the rally to be held to mark May Day.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to address the rally as the chief guest.

Party insiders said the BNP high-ups have taken all-out efforts to make the rally a success.

The rally will be organised by the Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, labour wing of BNP. Its leaders have already announced that the rally would be the biggest gathering of its kind in recent times.
