She will address the media at her Gulshan office at 2pm on Sunday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also scheduled to hold a press conference at Ganabhaban at 3pm same day.

On Saturday morning, the Election Commission sent a letter to Khaleda asking her to refrain from violating the poll code of conducts by campaigning with motorcade and hampering movement of people.

Her Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan said the BNP chief would speak about current political issues.

Polls to the three city corporations in Dhaka and Chittagong are slated for Tuesday.

Sunday is the last day of campaign.

“She will delve into several important issues, especially those related to the city corporation polls,” Khan said.

Prime Minister Hasina’s press conference will be held to brief the media on her visit to Indonesia but she is also expected to speak on city polls.

Khaleda is holding the press conference for the first time after she left her office, living there for three months.

During her campaign, her motorcade was attacked thrice in different places last week.

Khaleda’s Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas told reporters that she had no plan to campaign on Saturday.

The BNP also condemned the EC’s move to warn Khaleda over her campaign.

“We think the commission has played the role of the government’s public relations department by labelling the imaginary allegation against Khaleda Zia,” the party’s acting spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon said at its Naya Paltan headquarters.
