Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today alleged that the main opposition BNP is trying to boycott the next general election in fear of defeat.

The High Court declared illegal the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami and the government has nothing to do with it, Hasina, also the president of Awami League, made the comment in her introductory speech before holding a meeting of the AL Parliamentary Board at her Dhanmondi office in the morning.

The premier also termed the BNP’s stance for not participating in general election as “regrettable” and said the main opposition is not taking part in the polls as its key ally Jamaat is barred from joining it.

She also urged the BNP to take part in the 10th parliamentary election scheduled for January 5.

“Stop patronising Jamaat and join polls,” Hasina urged Khaleda Zia, the chief of BNP.

The PM insisted that voting will take place as per the schedule and BNP would not be able to stop it.

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed on Monday announced the schedule for the next national election.

  1. HASINA ASKS HER HOOLIGAN CADRES TO COPY THE NUMBER OF THE BNP LEADERS CAR AND SET THEM ON FIRE!
Hasina talks of “JONOGON”, in reality she does not care for “JONOGON” but herself and her power. From Indian colony she has now turned Bangladesh into an Indo-American condominium just to stay in power. This is her “PATRIOTISM”. The sooner she is driven out the better. How dares she ask indirectly to her hooligan cadres to set fire on BNP leaders car? This is a criminal offence to incite people to commit such crimes. She MUST be arrested and tried in an open court.
