  1. Our ministers including the PM and the top leaders of the power party have already earned a very good reputation for misleading and untrue statements (as we witnessed the interview of our PM on CNN and CBC). And this is no exception. How much ‘independent’ the EC is has been revealed in its repeated failure to hold DCC election on lame excuses. People of the capital city have been wailing over the miseries they have been facing everyday due to the absence of elected representatives but the govt remains non-committal trampling the constitutional provisions our dear PM so fond of to exult and give excuses. And the EC has remained passive since the CEC is really ‘independent’ in obeying the beckoning of the govt. Before now we saw how EC is ‘independent and strong’ when its requisition for deploying the army in the N.Ganj election was ignored by the govt. Yea, the EC is really, really very STRONG & INDEPENDENT.
