  1. BBS statistics makes Muhit happy when they show a growth in national economy. When BBS reports that the growth is not creating any job Muhit questions BBS about the mismatch between figures of the national statistical agency BBS and the situation on the ground. Muhit cites example of shortage of agricultural labors as a ground reality against jobless growth in economy. Muhith urged non-government economic research agencies, including Policy Research Institute and Centre for Policy Dialogue, to organise a debate over the jobless growth. It appears that the BBS statistics is not credible to him. However when BBS statistics report a growth in national economy, he does not feel any necessity to get it counter checked by non-government economic research agencies, including Policy Research Institute and Center for Policy Dialogue. We consider that there is a need for rechecking both the national growth figure and the employment generation by non-government economic research agencies, including Policy Research Institute and Center for Policy Dialogue. BBS figures cannot be credible because of political influence and pressure.
