The Bangladesh girls defeated their Indian counterparts 4-0 in the final of the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship at the Aviator Stadium in Dushanbe on Sunday to retain their title.
Having already beaten their opponents 3-1 in the group stages, Bangladesh were favourites going into the match and they lived up to the billing.

Tohura Khatun finished as the top scorer of the tournament. Here she poses with the trophy alongside her two coaches.

With seven goals in her last three games, Bangladesh’s Tohura Khatun was always going to trouble the Indian backline. And it took her just one minute to get her name on the scoresheet, before she added two more in the 51st and 66th minutes and completed a second hattrick in as many games.
Anuching Mogini scored the other goal for Bangladesh in the 30th minute.

The girls enjoy among themselves after winning the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for the second time.
