Most of the Bangladesh’s coaching staff are unwilling to go to Pakistan, where the Tigers are scheduled to play two Tests and three T20 matches in January next year.

The women’s cricket team and the Under-16 team have already gone there. However, the Indian coaches of the women’s team did not go there. Local coaches have been appointed to lead the team only for that series.

BCB sources said head coach Russell Domingo, batting coach Neil McKenzie, fast bowling coach Charl Langeveldt and spin bowling coach Daniel Vettori have all refused to go to Pakistan. However, strength and conditioning coach Mario Villavarayan does not have any problem going there.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said, “We are yet to talk on this issue. Hopefully we will be able to find a solution.”
