Bangladesh Chronicle endorses Obama for President.

Won’t you?

Barack Hussein Obama II is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office

Please be active this voting season. Bangladeshi-Americans should go out and vote for Obama and the Democratic slate in the Senate and the Congress. It is very important for our community. President Romney would reverse whatever has been achieved by minority communities.

“President Obama’s election and his presidency have been historic. He is a black man who was elected by a solid majority to lead a nation with a history of racism. He ended a war begun on false pretenses that took thousands of American lives.

To Gov. Romney: You owe the American people more details about how you will keep taxes low, preserve social programs and build up the military, all while reducing the debt. You must be your own man, and not kowtow to special interests whose millions helped propel you to the Republican nomination. Be the man who governed Massachusetts, and you’ll reunite America.”

The last presidential debate left a clear picture of the choice we face in this election. As commander in chief, President Obama leads with a steady hand and strong values. Mitt Romney, however, tried to hide his extreme foreign policy positions by pretending to agree with the President on issue after issue—once again proving why he is the wrong choice to lead our country on the world stage.

But Romney plans to take us back to the failed policies of the past on more than just foreign policy. As the President said, Romney wants “to import the foreign policies of the 1980s, just like the social policies of the 1950s, and the economic policies of the 1920s.”

Romney also spent this week trying to mislead voters on of the President’s decision to save the U.S. auto industry. Now that the auto industry is roaring back and adding new jobs, Romney is trying to claim that he never wanted to “let Detroit go bankrupt.” But there’s no hiding the facts: Romney’s position would’ve left American auto companies without any way of recovering. And rather than own up to the truth, Romney is now falsely suggesting that Chrysler plans to ship jobs to China—a claim Chrysler quickly condemned as untrue.

While Romney is committed to going backward, the President has a clear, detailed roadmap to build a strong economy from the middle class out. See President Obama lay out his plan below, read the plan for yourself, and compare it to Mitt Romney’s plan to go back to the same failed, top-down policies of the past.

Then, share the facts so everyone knows how we can move this country forward with President Obama.
