A Dhaka court on Monday issued a warrant for the arrest of assistant police commissioner of Demra zone and four other people on charge of violating a woman.
Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge-3 SM Rezanur Rahman passed the order in the afternoon.
The accused are: Mohammad Minhajul Islam, assistant police commissioner of Demra Zone, Managing Director of Trinity Real Estate Limited Mohammad Sabbir Hassan Khan Milon, its three directors-Mamunur Rashid, Mohammad Azizur Rahman and Aminur Rahman Amin.
Ayesha Siddiqa, the victim, filed a case against them under section Women and Child Repression Prevention Act on April 17.
After investigation, the court issued an arrest warrant against them.
According to the case statement, the accused violated Ayesha and threatened her to leave her own flat no 568/1 at Noyatola in City’s Maghbazar area on April 7.
