Secretary general of Islami Oikya Jote Mufti Faizullah on Sunday said the ruling party Awami League’s bid to return to power through an ‘election of blueprint’ has got exposed with the remarks of Prime Minister’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Terming Joy an astronomic, Faizullah said the way Joy confidently stated about AL’s win in the next election proves that the ruling party is having a daydream of returning to power through a stage-managed election.
In a statement, he also said, Joy, as the Prime minister’s son, has completely failed to give any message to the nation that can inspire people.
Earlier, in the morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina defended her son’s comment that Awami League will come to power again.
“Joy said one thing; he said that on the basis of a survey,” she said while distributing cheques of Journalists’ Assistance Allowance among 158 journalists at her office.
