22 university students denied bail, sent to jail

The accused are students of East West University, North South University, South East University and BRAC University.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Satyabrata Shikder passed the order after police produced them before his court on expiry of their two-day remand, rejecting bail petitions filed by their lawyers.

On Monday, students of the private universities clashed with police while demonstrating against the attack on students during their demonstration for safe roads in the city.
